End User License Agreement
This End User License Agreement ("Agreement") is a legal agreement between you ("User" or "you") and Brennan McDonald, located in Vancouver, Canada ("Company", "we", or "us"), regarding your use of the Loci mobile application ("App") available on iOS and Android platforms.
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. License Grant
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with this Agreement.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use this App. By using the App, you affirm that you are 13 or older.
3. User Content
You may post content (e.g., text, photos) visible to other users. You retain ownership of your content but grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute it in connection with the App.
You are solely responsible for your content. We reserve the right to remove content that violates our policies or applicable laws.
4. Data Collection & Use
By using the App, you consent to our collection and use of the following data:
- Location Data: To display nearby posts.
- Photos: Uploaded by users.
- Likes, Follows, Usernames, Emails: For account and social features.
- Diagnostic Data: Collected via Firebase, Sentry, and Grafana for performance monitoring and debugging.
Data may be stored on and processed via third-party services including Firebase, Sentry, Grafana, and Digital Ocean. All data is handled in accordance with applicable privacy laws.
5. Restrictions
You agree not to:
- Decompile, reverse engineer, or disassemble the App.
- Use the App for any unlawful or unauthorized purpose.
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations.
6. Intellectual Property
All rights, title, and interest in the App and its contents (excluding user content) remain the property of Brennan McDonald. You may not use our trademarks without prior written permission.
7. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at our discretion, with or without notice, for conduct that violates this Agreement or is otherwise harmful.
8. Disclaimers
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Brennan McDonald shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the App.
10. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of British Columbia, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles.
